- Expect to sign a Confidentiality Agreement.
- Expect to have at least a two week period to review all grant documents.
- Expect that the grant draft proposal has not fully been completed.
- Expect to review a Scoring Descriptor document.
- Expect to complete a Review Document that will include assigning a score to the applicant.
- Expect to participate in a Pre-Mock Study Section/Grant Review conference call with other reviewers to discuss your group comments. This call typically takes place a few days prior to the Mock Study Section/Grant Review and it last about 30-45 minutes.
- Expect to be assigned as a Primary, Secondary or Tertiary Reviewer.
- Expect to participate in a Mock Study Section for (15-20 minutes) and/or Grant Review that will last at least 2 hours.
- Expect that the applicant will be present for the entire Mock Study Section and/or Grant Review. Members of the study team and mentors may also be present.
- Expect not to interact with the applicant during the Reviewer discussion period. The applicant has been asked to remain silent and observe. There will be a time for discussion afterwards.
- Expect to provide applicant with all of your written feedback/suggestions.
