UAMS-affiliated researchers can now access more than 8,600 potential research participants through ARresearch.org, a free resource provided by the Translational Research Institute.
This registry database includes a diverse (racial, ethnic, gender, age, veteran, rural and urban) population of Arkansans who have agreed to be contacted about UAMS research studies. It is available to all UAMS faculty, including those at Arkansas Children’s and the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System. The registry includes demographic data, 29 general disease categories and a “Healthy Volunteer” option that registrants have selected as their interest areas for future studies.
Researchers interested in utilizing the registry may submit a request through the TRI Services Portal.
To learn more, interested researchers should browse our Frequently Asked Questions. For additional questions, please contact Pamela Christie at pchristie@uams.edu.
TRI has significantly improved the functionality of the registry database for researchers. Please view this brief video tutorial to see what’s possible.
The ARresearch registry has helped numerous UAMS researchers meet their enrollment goals. In this video, UAMS researcher Carolyn Greene, Ph.D., explains why she is a big fan of the service.
