Who We Are
The Correctional Research Translational and Clinical Science Network (CR TRACS) is a growing national research network connecting investigators, community partners, clinicians, and other stakeholders across Clinical and Translational Science Awards (CTSA) Program hubs. CR TRACS leverages established CTSA infrastructure, expertise, and funding opportunities to support collaborative, community-partnered research focused on correctional health, the health of people involved with correctional institutions, and the communities impacted by them. CR TRACS strengthens collaboration, and builds capacity for corrections-related research across institutions and communities through cross-CTSA collaboration, shared governance, career development, and translational science.
Mission Statement
“Cultivate a national, cross-CTSA network that advances correctional health research by developing investigators, fostering collaboration, and expanding translational science capacity to improve health outcomes for criminal legal system-involved populations, by accelerating the translation of evidence into practice and policy. We operationalize our mission through shared governance, career development, community-partnered research, cross-CTSA collaboration, and continuous evaluation.”
