Expectations for Mock Study Section/Grant Review for Participants

  • Submit a TRI Portal request distinguishing which type of review best fits your needs (i.e., a Mock Study Section with a Grant Review or Grant Review only)
  • Indicate the type of application (e.g., R01, R21, Grant-In-Aid, etc) and if the application is in response to a specific program (i.e., Program Announcement (PA) or Request for Application (RFA).
  • Submit all required documents on relevant forms (NIH, NSF, etc.).
  1. Complete NIH biosketch of the applicant and, if possible, all Key Personnel listed on the grant.
  2. Link to the RFA or PA targeted by this application if other than Investigator Initiated R01.
  3. Budget & budget justification including the roles of the Key Personnel.
  4. Near-final draft proposal.
  5. Specific Aims page
  • Provide a primary mentor’s name, if applicable (e.g., K awards)
  • The process for finding a mutually suitable date and time for the Mock Study Section/Grant Review meeting may be relatively late in the process. The invitation with the date, time, and location will be emailed when available.
