Study Management Tools

TRI’s Comprehensive Research Informatics Core (CIRC) can assist investigators with identifying the appropriate study management tools, like REDCap electronic surveys and data collection forms, Part 11-compliant electronic data capture tools for regulated clinical trials, and tools available via the Comprehensive Research Informatics Suite (AR-CRIS).   Training of research staff on these data tools is also available. TRI research coordinators are already trained in these tools and may use them when supporting an investigator’s research study.

The Comprehensive Research Informatics Suite (AR-CRIS) is a comprehensive set of open source software tools for electronic management of clinical trials and associated data. All components of the UAMS AR-CRIS are web based, enabling sharing and integration of clinical research information for single and multi-site trials. AR-CRIS includes applications for participant registration, study calendar management, free text extraction, participant recruitment, tracking regulatory events, reporting, and electronic data capture. If you need assistance with any of the CRIS tools, please contact TRI using the TRI Services Portal.

CLinicAl Research Administrator (CLARA) a web-based portal to the UAMS Institutional Review Board (IRB) for submission, review, approval and tracking of human subjects research. A CTIU Portal Facilitator is available to review submissions to ensure the presence of basic elements and consistency throughout each document as well as determine routing of the protocol to which, if any, regulatory oversight committees for review.

Learn more about protocol development and submissions here.

If you need assistance with CLARA, please submit requests through the TRI Services Portal. Select Protocol Assistance when completing the request form.
