Integrating Special Populations

TRI’s Integrating Special Populations (ISP) function is designed to help UAMS expand its capacity for translational research in rural and underrepresented populations across Arkansas and to support collaborations nationally across the Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) network. The ISP function works collaboratively with our Community Engagement program to strengthen community partnerships that expand research participation.

TRI works closely with the following groups to support and expand research in special populations:

TRI also provides health literacy tools, such as plain language informed consents, through its collaboration with the UAMS Center for Health Literacy.
