How do I access a participant list from the ARresearch registry?
Please submit all requests through the TRI Services Portal (see Request Services button, this page).
Do I need IRB approval to use the ARresearch registry?
Yes, all projects must have IRB approval.
Will the registry show how many registrants meet my study criteria?
No, the registry provides demographic data and general disease categories the registrants have selected as their interest areas for future studies. Registrants may only be contacted about studies that are in the disease categories they have chosen.
What if I need healthy volunteers?
The registry form includes a Healthy Volunteer option, which many registrants have selected.
How do I find out how many registrants wish to be contacted about the disease category I am researching?
For studies approved by the IRB, submit your request through the TRI Services Portal (Request Services button, this page).
Am I allowed to text, rather than call, registrants who have provided their phone number?
No, the current registration form does not include a texting option for registrants.
What is required for me to receive contact information for registrants?
Your IRB approved protocol must include your intent to use the ARresearch registry for recruitment. You will need to provide information on how you plan to contact registrants (e.g., phone, mail, email). Once you have received IRB approval, please submit your request and updated IRB approval letter to the TRI Services Portal (Request Services button, this page).
What if my IRB-approved study lacks the IRB’s approval for using the ARresearch registry?
You must submit a modification to IRB on your approved study. In CLARA, look for the “Modification” field. Under “Please describe the requested change,” state that you will be using the ARresearch registry for recruitment purposes. In addition, click “Yes” to the question, “Would you like to utilize data from the UAMS TRI Research Participant Registry as part of your recruitment plan?” Review and submit.
Once you have received IRB approval, please submit your request and updated IRB approval letter to the TRI Services Portal (Request Services button, this page).
How long does it take to receive a list of participant names from the ARresearch registry?
Once IRB approval is received, registry requests will be completed in approximately 48 hours.
Once I receive my participant list, may I use those names for another research study?
No, a new request must be submitted through the TRI portal for each study.
